Hydroponic System: Utilizes Hybriponics™ technology, a soil-free method that delivers nutrient-rich water to plant roots via a closed-loop system, using 95% less water than traditional soil gardening. Plants grow in yCubes (compostable, non-GMO seed pods with rockwool) inserted into yPods along three vertical columns.
Compact Design: Occupies only 2 sq. ft. and stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, fitting easily in kitchens, living rooms, or corners. It’s made with premium, sustainable materials, including brushed aluminum, BPA-free recyclable plastics, and a rubberwood lid, blending functionality with a modern, furniture-like aesthetic.
Smart Technology: Features Kelby, an AI-powered assistant that monitors plants 24/7 using a high-resolution camera and sensors (temperature, humidity, water levels). Kelby automates light schedules, water circulation, and provides personalized care tips through the Gardyn app. The app offers live monitoring, timelapse videos, harvesting alerts, and a Vacation Mode to pause growth, saving energy and water.
LED Lighting: Equipped with two energy-efficient LED grow lights (60W total) that mimic sunlight, enabling year-round growth of tall or vining plants without natural light. Lights feature a sunrise/sunset mode for adaptive illumination and are adjustable to support plant height.
Water Tank: A 6-gallon reservoir supports the self-watering system, requiring refills every 2-4 weeks, depending on plant types and environmental conditions. Water is quietly recirculated on a smart schedule.
Plant Variety: Supports over 100 plant varieties, including herbs (basil, mint, cilantro), leafy greens (lettuce, kale, Swiss chard), vegetables (cherry tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers), fruits (strawberries), and flowers. Starter kits include 30 plants (non-GMO, organic), with curated sets or customizable options. Users can purchase additional yCubes or use seedless yCubes for custom seeds.
Yield: Produces 8-10 pounds of produce monthly, equivalent to a large salad daily for a family of four. Lettuce can be harvested multiple times over 4-6 weeks, and herbs stay fresh for up to 12 weeks.
